Geothermal Heat Pump Applications
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ranks geothermal systems as the most cost-effective space conditioning systems available. Lower operating and maintenance costs together with the systems’ long life give geothermal systems the lowest life cycle cost on the market.
These “boilerless/towerless” heat pump systems use the natural thermal properties of the earth to dissipate or capture heat for the water loop. Geothermal heat pumps operate in an identical fashion to water-source heat pump units. However, without the need for a boiler or cooling tower, geothermal heat pumps save substantial energy costs and space.
The water-loop system is underground and the units are inside the building. Thus, the environmentally friendly geothermal system preserves the architectural design of a building naturally.
Geothermal earth loops come in several different configurations depending on space availability and soil properties. Loop fields can be located under parking lots, landscaped areas, or any number of other locations. All earth loops use high-density polyethylene pipe to circulate either water or an antifreeze mixture. All joints and connection fittings are thermally fused to prevent leaks and most piping comes with a 25-year or longer warranty.

ET3 can provide 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains.
Tesla’s version of frictionless transport is Hyperloop. This vision has yet to be realized but Virgin’s Hyperloop is closest to commercial viability.
Car sized passenger capsules travel in 1.5m (5') diameter tubes on frictionless maglev. Air is permanently removed from the two-way tubes that are built along a travel route. Airlocks at stations allow transfer of capsules without admitting air. Linear electric motors accelerate the capsules, which then coast through the vacuum for the remainder of the trip using no additional power. Most of the energy is regenerated as the capsules slow down.

McLaren Automotive has created its first-ever supercar prototype powered fully by electricity. This was confirmed by none other Dan Parry-Williams, the company’s very own Engineering Design Director, in an interview with UK’s Autocar. Not only did Parry-Williams confirm the story but he also provided extra details with regards to the prototype.
In the same interview, Parry-Williams said that the company already has a pure EV and one of the reasons is that the company wanted to know what it took to be able to offer excellent driver engagement in a purely electric world. He added that it has been quite a journey for the company to go from here to there as it relates to the company’s products.
